Effects not lasting the length of the slide

I have Blur effects placed on some images in my project. For some reason, the blur effect goes away about 3 tenths of a second before the slide is completed. I've tried lining up the blur effect and the image timing-wise, tried having the effect last longer than the image itself and nothing seems to work. I don't have any active or inactive buttons going on in the slide either. Just seems to do this with all effects in Captivate 5.5

You are correct. It's almost impossible to get seamless effects across multiple slides on the same object. Same thing happens when applying drop shadows to an object that appears on multiple slides.

If you're not interested in animating the blur effect, have you tried creating a special Master Slide with the blurred object on it. Perhaps applying the effect to the object on the master slide will work better when the master is applied to several consecutive slides.

The image that I am attempting to blur does not appear across multiple slides, there are many different images on different slides that need to be blurred, I just need the blur effect to actually last the whole length of the slide, not go into the next slide

I am having the same issue in 5.0. We are training on systems containing PII, which I can't seem to cover using the blur function since each slide is flashing up the info I am trying to cover.

The real frustration is on a few slides it does last the duration, but not on most. I've tried having the image 'display for the rest of the slide' and set to the exact timing of the slide. The Blur effect is also lasting the duration of the image.

I've also tried the suggestion of using advanced actions with no success.

Is Adobe working on a fix for this? I can't beleive SnagIt has this simple fuction down and Adobe doesn't.
