Question

Embedded video plays in Chrome but not in Internet Explorer

I have a large captivate project (800+ slides) that has a short video (19.9 seconds) embedded as an event video on one of the slides. When I go to view the published project, the video does not play if I open it using Internet Explorer, but it will play if I'm viewing in Chrome. I need this to work for both as I can't dictate which bower my clients use. Anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this?

Thanks.

I would imagine that your biggest issue is size, given that you have over 800 slides and IE is just kinda refusing to load even one-more-thing. When you have projects that big you get really weird results sometimes.

The only work around I can think of would be to host the video on Vimeo or YouTube and use the web object embed code to link to it. That way nothing new is loaded when you click the video.

Cheers
