Embedding a software training demonstration

Hi, I am trying to figure out Captivate 9. I am used to creating a software training demo with hotspots and incorrect/correct feedback, publish them as a swf and embed them into my HTML template. I have been tasked in creating an HTML5 course with embedded training demos using Captivate 9. I was able to create a training demo in Captivate 9 and publish it out using the HTML5 option. I started out by creating a responsive project but I don't see where I have the option to embed this training demo. Is this no longer possible? If I use Dreamweaver CC, how would I add this demo not using the swf option since Flash is not allowed? I am beyond lost!

If it is a demonstration, not a training simulation, I would also recommend to convert it to a MP4, either starting from the classic capture process or from a better quality Video Demo. To include an interactive software training will be a lot more complicated, although Captivate allows to capture a responsive training (where mobile view will automatically zoom in), to embed that in a responsive website, have no idea how to start. Would it not be easier to publish the responsive software training separately, and link to it from the website?

Thank you! The customer has stated that we are not to use flash, and that it must work on the Edge browser.  It does not have to be responsive. So that would rule out publishing as a swf, I think. If I publish the training (with clickable hotspots, etc.) as HTML 5, I am looking for ways to be able to embed it into an HTML page or a main captivate file. Would using an iFrame work? Any suggestions?

Yes, an iFrame is probably your best solution if you have to embed the piece in another web page (not an LMS, right?).

Setup an iFrame and load the published index.html file for the course.

The biggest issue with such an approach is Responsiveness for an iFrame. It may take some javascript trickery to ensure the iFrame, and the contents within, properly scale/realign to the size of the parent HTML page. For that reason alone, iFrames are not really Responsive-friendly.

It may be better to avoid any embed if possible and just link to the published HTML piece alone, if it can be viewed outside the context of the parent frame.

A lot of things that are possible with normal HTM/SWF or HTML5 courses are not possible with Responsive HTML5.

You may need to capture your software simulation as a Video Demo, publish it to MP4 and then include it in the responsive course that way.  But bear in mind that if you capture the software sim at a resolution that is impossible to view on a mobile phone screen anyway, there's probably little point doing it as a responsive project.
