Embedding event video in a Responsive Project

We've just started using CP 2017. I want to embed an event video (mp4 approx 2.4MB) on a page in a responsive project. When I preview on my PC it works fine but when uploaded to our intranet (SharePoint NOT an LMS) the video does not play and is saved at 0KB in the "vr" folder. We have uploaded projects to this environment with this .mp4 format and they are always ok.  Tested in IE and Chrome.  Occasionally a video does save and plays ok but next time it does not save. Temporary internet files have been deleted in case it is a cache problem.  NOTE: I had this same problem last week when we had CP9.

Does anyone know what else I could try?

Regards

Michael

The answer to this so far has been to publish to Desktop and then copy the files to SharePoint thru Windows Explorer.  If videos copy as 0kb then copy them separately to the "vr" folder and replace the file.  Thanks for your help!

In my experience this sort of issue is usually related to restrictions or permissions on the network end.  Have you tried talking with tyour IT people about why video files might NOT be allowed in certain situations?

Many organisations I have worked for had filters in place that were designed to stop office workers from storing their own personal photos, songs and video files on the corporate network.  Is it possible that video files might need to be explicitly allowed in some folders?

Yes, thanks I'm working with our IT group and following their directions for changes and tests.
