I have a question concerning videos I want to upload to my new website. Is there a way I can prevent my videos from being copied? I am new to all this, so any help would be appreciated. Kind regards, Jennifer from Amsterdam.

The bottom line with this is no. No way to do it other than to simply not post them. Anywhere. EVER

Where there is a will there will always be a way. Look at Captivate itself. You can watch any video you like. And if you can see it on your computer screen, by golly you can use Captivate recording in video mode to record it along with system sound. Poof! Video copied and end of story.

Streaming will help weed out the uneducated on video content. So that may help. Another option would be to host the videos on Amazon. Then use a player and software that creates an obfuscated link that would only be valid for a specific period of time.

Cheers... Rick

Oh, and I meant to say that there are other options besides Captivate to record videos as they play. Captivate is but one screen recording app of many.

I believe you would need to use a steaming service, or an actual streaming server (rtmp).
