Help!

What do I need to do when I get this message Error message stating Javascript required when I double click on htm file?

Do I simply install JavaScript or is there much more required?

Thank you,

    Hi Lilybiri,

So getting back to the original question.

When I double click on the htm file which I have output it keeps coming up with an error message saying Captivate requires JavaScript therefore do I just install javascript or is there something else I have to do with the htm file like adding comments commands etc - do I have to edit it?

Nothing special, except that JS has to be enabled.  No need for editing. As usual the JS file is needed for interactivity.

Which version are you using? You talk about a 'htm' file, which output did you create: SWF or HTML5? The htm file which has a name identical to the SWF file only exists for SWF output. For HTML5 output you have an index.html file. Look in the published folder.

    Hi Lilybiri,

I have output to swf and need to use the htm file. Can I only output to HTML5 to upload to a website?

You can upload the SWF output as well, but you need to upload all files, normally you'll have at least a JS and a CSS file, besides the SWF and HTM file.
