Error Message When Trying to Open the Project in Captivate 9

Good Morning,

I am having a huge issue with opening one of my projects. It was working fine and as it was getting finalized something happened. One of my co-workers opened it to check for last minute grammatical errors, and when she tried to save it and it took her a long time she decided to close it. which resulted in "not responding" error and the screen went blank. After that incident non of us can open the project. When I try to load it it goes to 10% then gives me this message.

Needless to say this is the only copy and I truly don't want to redo the same project from scratch. Could you guys please help??? Any suggestion is appreciated!!!!

Correct answer Lilybiri

Can you check if there are 'lock' files on either system?

Didn't you check the backup option in Preferences? That is always the first thing to do when installing or patching Captivate.

The cache folder could be a secondary cache if you can identify it, you have to zip that folder corresponding with the date you last opened the project.  Do not clear cache at this moment.

Thank you Lilybiri for a quick response. Unfortunately I didn't click the back up, nor we backed it up anywhere. I know its a very amateur mistake. I am not sure on how to check the "lock" files.

They should be in the same folder as the projects.
