Hello! I have received this error message for the past week. If I click on ok, the application shuts down. If I ignore it all is well.

"A fatal error has occurred and the application is being terminated. Adobe Captivate has tried to save all your work in the respective file..... "

Other issue I am having and I don't know if it is related or not, but I am unable to access the assets (Get Adobe Stock Assests and Free elearning assests) I have already downloaded them and looked at them once, but now I am unable to access them. All the screen shows is "Loading..."

Any and all suggestions are welcome as I am working on a Capstone project for grad school.

Joan

Hi Joan,

I've experienced that dreaded message as well.  If you have not done so, be sure to go to Edit > Preferences, then check the box for "Generate Project Backup." Every time you save your Captivate file, a backup will be saved as well.  If your project every becomes corrupt - which can generate the type of error message you're seeing - having that backup can be a real life saver.  That saved me last year on a 100+ screen course and I've used it ever since.

Regarding the E-Learning Brothers Assets, I don't recall if they are free with Captivate 9. But I'm currently using Captivate 10 and have had no problems accessing the thousands of free assets they have.  If you're on the subscription payment plan, you should consider upgrading - for many other reasons as well.  I still have not found how to get Stock Assets though. I think you have to pay for them separately or with a separate subscription plan.

I hope this helps.

Assets eLearning Brothers are available on CP9 as well. Try cleaning

Preferences amd Clearing cache. Check version number, should be 9.0.2.437.

I wasn't sure.  I was using 8 for quite a while, then when I finally had a project that required 9 only downloaded it shortly before 2017 came out.  So my use of 9 is limited.  Thanks for clarifying, especially since my client for one project still wants me to use 9.
