Error: "Video encountered an internal error" when trying to insert video as Multi-slide synchronized video

Question

When I try to insert video as Multi-slide synchronized video I get the following error dialouge box: "Video encountered an internal error"

It doesnt matter what kind of format I try to import: flv, mp4, avi, mov.

Anyone have i clue whats wrong?

I've got exactly the same problem. I'am currently working with the 30 days trial version of Captivate 8.0.2.266.

After installing Captivate on an Laptop outside the company's network, everything worked fine.

I was able to create a responsive project, import videos in various formats (e.g. mp4 and flv) and edit subtitles.

This mornig I restarted the laptop in the office and got the error described above.

When I reopen a older project that already contains a video, I can not edit subtitles or do a video preview.

I tried several things: deletion of the project cache, deactivating network connector, logging in company's network, reboot, ...
