Question

Error when generating audio.

Hi all,

I am experiencing an error when trying to generate text to speech for a slide. I have tried it on a solo project with one simple sentence with no punctuation, and also in my project file with punctuation, neither worked.

I keep getting an error but there is no explanation for the error, or if I try again then the generating audio bar will fill all the way but my Captivate will be frozen and I have to close it using Task Manager.

I tried restarting my PC multiple times and using empty projects. Nothing is working.

Has anyone else had this issue? I need text to speech to complete my project.

Which version of Captivate are you using?  (Captivate Classic or New Captivate 12/13).

If using Captivate Classic, you need to make sure the additional install pack of voices has been loaded to your PC.  Otherwise no voice options will appear.

Hi,

I'm using the latest version of the new Adobe Captivate Pro.

I would suggest that you uninstall Captivate completely and do a new clean install to see if that resolves the issue.
