Error when previewing HTML5 in Browser - Google Chrome

Adobe Captivate 2019 - v11.5.5.553

When I try to preview my project via HTML5 in Browser, I get an error I've never seen before: Object Construction Failed (see attached screenshots). I'm using Google Chrome. I've previewed plenty of projects in this way and never come across this error. I tried previewing a different project the same way, and it worked fine. So something is going on with a file somewhere in my project, but I have no clue what it would be. Thanks.

To fix errors when previewing HTML5 in Google Chrome:

    1. Check for syntax errors in your HTML code.
    2. Make sure you're using HTML5 features supported by your version of Chrome.
    3. Clear your browser cache and reload the page.
    4. Look for JavaScript errors in the browser console.
    5. Ensure external resources have proper cross-origin configurations.
    6. Verify your web server is configured for HTML5 content.
    7. Disable any interfering browser extensions or plugins.
    8. Update to the latest version of Google Chrome.

Provide more details for further assistance if needed.

Hi, I once ran into a similar issue and tried fixing it several times and there wasn't luck. I don't quite remember what exactly I did but try checking for updates on the Captivate software and see if there are any pending updates. that helped me at some point in the past.

Also, you might find some useful comments on this topic posted to the community before.

    Best wishes!

Something was wrong with my original project file. I moved everything into a new file, and I'm not having any issues. Closing out. Thanks.

If I saw that error, I would reach out to Adobe. You can email them at captivatehelp@adobe.com.

Have you checked possible incompatibilities in the HTML Tracker? I suppose this is a non-responsive project, but which exact version do you use? You find the full version number under Help, About Captivate.

I haven't checked the HTML tracker. I'm on v11.5.5.553, and this is not a responsive project.

Check the tracker, and - to be sure - also try another browser (Edge or Firefox).
