Event video audio keeps playing after forward button pressed

I am using Captivate 9 and have an event video on one of the slides. If the user presses the forward button while the video is playing, the audio from the video will continue to play on the next slide (this happens in both the preview and published versions). Going back to the previous slide does not fix it -- the video is now missing and the audio will continue to play. Shutting down and restarting the swf is the only way to stop the video's audio, which is a significant problem as the video is played more than halfway through the swf. I've checked through the documentation and can't seem to find any solution to this. If it's related, there is a preliminary voiceover on the same slide that plays before the video starts, though if the user presses forward during that, the voiceover audio will quit, as expected.

Event video plays totally independent of Captivate. That is the reason for its own control panel, and why you don't have to extend the slide duration of the slide to the length of the video. If you need control by Captivate, you'll need to insert the video as multi-slide synchronized video.
