Event video pause and play not working

I have an event video on a slide and it has playback controls.
Once the project is published, when I click pause, on the video, it pauses. When I then click play, it plays but it rewinds the video back to the start and plays it from the beginning.

I can't work out why?

Can you change the player for the event video? I think that's an option...

If so, try that. Maybe there's a flaw in the video player (not the overall project player skin) you have implemented...?

I see that you didn't get any answer.  This is either due to lack of details, or no one has ever experienced this problem as is the case for me. Is the video embedded? Is it a 'big' file? In that case I would recommend to give a small gap before the video, so that it is not appearing from the first frame of the slide.
