Export to avi cutting end off movie

I have a number of tutorial videos and at the end a graphic fades on and holds for about 6 seconds before the end of the movie.

Every time I export to an uncompressed avi, Captivate deems it necessary to cut off the last few seconds of my movies just at the point where the alpha of the fading in image reaches 100% despite the fact that there is still about 5 seconds of movie left to play!

any ideas?

I am using Captivate 4 for my sins!!!!!

an update in case anyone else has this problem - although looking through this forum no one else does!

I realised that if there was a slide with either no audio, or no animation on it, Captivate took the decision to cut those sections out of the final avi!!

The most noticeable example was one slide which had audio on it, the audio had a 2 second silence in the middle so on Export Captivate decided to cut the animation at this point meaning from this point onwards the audio was out of synch with the animation!

One real hack I did that seemed to sort this out was to create a transparent png that was 50x50pixel in size - i then imported this onto the timeline of the problematic slides and added a fade in/fad out transition on it - this told Captivate that there was in fact something on these slides so don't cut them out of the exported AVI!!!

it is a real hack but it seemed to work in the end.

On a final note, Captivate is probably one of the worst pieces of software I have ever had to use. Now that this project is complete i will be looking at alternative solutions!
