Question

Fade slide transitions without fading caption

Hello!

My goal is to have the same text caption box display on three consecutive slides.  I want to fade the transitions between the slides without fading the text caption in and out as the slides change.  I've set the captions to only fade in, no fade, and only fade out as I should but the fading slide transitions override this.

Is there any way to have one text caption span multiple slides without fading in and out even though the slide transitions are set to fade?  I'm using Captivate 3.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike

I think I'd try doing it this way. Remove the fade transitions from the slides. Insert the captions and configure accordingly so you don't see a fade. Insert the Background Images for each slide as a standard image and clear the background. Then apply the fade transitions to the new images. Of course you will also want to ensure the images are stacked on the bottom or behind everything else.

Cheers... Rick
