fail quiz results not posting

Hi All

I have set up my captivate projects using internal server for reporting. All works wonderfully well, so long as the user passes the quiz. if the user fails the quiz, the results are not posted to the server. In fact the dialogue box that comes up when you pass the quiz asking for name and email address does not appear when the suer fails teh quiz, so my guess is thatit never even tries to send the information to the server.

Using captivate 7.

Quiz settings are attached. Summarised as

incomplete -> passed/failed

slide views: quiz is passed

Any ideas on why I am not getting the failed data ?

This appears to be the case in all my projects, not just one.

Thanks

Sorry no other ideas.  All my clients tend to use LMSs so I haven't gained any real experience with Internal Server Reporting to speak of.

Ok so having spent a couple of hours on it, I have worked out what's causing the issue.

Failed scores don't get reported unless you tick the box to allow users to review the quiz.

Is this by design ? or is it a bug ?

In  my situation I don't want the student to be able to review the quiz, but I do want their failed data. So on the results slide I have to hide the review button behind other controls on the screen.

It would be much easier if it just worked though.

Thanks

What settings do you have for Quiz > Settings > Required?  Try setting it to Optional.

Thanks for the reply Rod.

It was set as "optional- the user can skip the quiz"

I changed it to all the possible values and tried again with no luck.

Any other ideas ??
