Failure Caption with a Button

I have a captivate project in which I want to give the user a limited number of attempts on each slide and then have a failure caption appear with either a button or click box available to show the correct response. I need the button or click box to only be available after the failure caption has appeared. Is this possible either within the app or by using javascript?

    Hi Scott,

The only way I can think of to do what you're asking is to set the failure action for your interaction to go to a different slide that has the information the user needs, then have that slide either jump back to the original slide or to the next one in the learning sequence. It may help to have both slides share the same background, if appropriate. This is the only way I know of that would work for both regular slides and Question slides.

Another option for regular (i.e. non-Captivate generated) slides might be to have the slide keep playing after the failure, then show a caption/button/rollover slidelet/etc. that allows the user to get more info.

    Hope that helps!
