FireWorks or Photoshop?

I'm a blogger and I'm running www.woblogger.com.

When I analyze my blog on Google Page Speed Insights, there is a message.

"Optimize images - Properly formatting and compressing images can save many bytes of data"

I wanna know the best way to make png images for a blog?

What is the best product for this? Photoshop or FireWorks?

I just checked my own website linkpublishers.com on Google PageSpeed Insights and noticed the same message.

Go to this site an run the report. When you click on the image it says should be compressed you can then download the image, they do it for you.
