Hi Peter,
There are a lot of ways to take care of the plug-in issue.
Yes, one way is to place a small Flash object on one of your web
pages, with a link to Adobe's plug-in download page for those who
cannot see it. This can also be done with an automatic "redirect"
to get the player if none is detected by the page.
A HTML expert can probably help more - perhaps in the
DreamWeaver forums?
Keep in mind that over 96% of all PCs in the world are
already equipped with some version of Flash Player browser plug-in.
In answer to your last question (I think), if you publish your
Captivate projects for Flash 6 or 7 I think you will be just fine.
I don't think I'd advise my end-users to download FlashPlayer
9. It could give them the impression that they have to have it and
they don't. Further, in my experience it is sometimes best to let
sleeping dogs lie. If they have FlashPlayer6 plug-in and it's
working for them, why mess with what works? Just my personal
two-pence ...
Does anyone have anything to add to or to argue with??
