Fluid box with modified slide height

Is it possible to use fluid boxes with modified slide heights?  I have some slides that I would like to be taller requiring the user to scroll, but every time I add fluid boxes, it snaps my slide height back to the default and disables the slide height adjustment.

Hello Pat, I don't know what your project is but for information you won't have a scroll once your project is published.

If you can see a scroll in your browser when using the "Preview/Project" menu of Captivate, this scroll doesn't appear anymore in a browser once published and whatever the device and the height of your project.

Is this true? I am only using Captivate because a client doesnt like scrolling panels like you find in Articulate and wants to make use of the browsers scroll.

Hello Pat, yes you won't get a scroll in your browser whatever the height you define in Captivate. You can enter 2000 or 5000px you won't get a scroll once published.

The preview mode is different than the publishing.

I know that is an important drawback to not have a scroll because I also wanted to use it.

I advise you to make tests by publishing your project from time to time to check out if the result is the one you want. Do not trust to the preview mode only when you make a responsive project.

Slides with fluid boxes can never have a slide height that is greater than the project height.

If you need a slide where the height is greater than the project height, you need a slide without fluid boxes. Then it is possible to unlink the slide height from the project height, same as in CP9.
