Question

.flv videos work in preview mode, but when I publish, they do not play

I've inserted .flv videos into my project and tested it using the html5 browser; they play as they're supposed to. When I publish to Adobe Connect, the videos don't show up.

Please help! Version 8.0.1.242.

Hi There,

.FLV file may not work with HTML5 output. Normally Captivate automatically does launches Media Encoder and convert it to Mp4 . Did it launched Media Encoder to convert it to Mp4 ?  Can you try to insert any Mp4 and check on Adobe Connect?

Captivate did launch the media encoder - how would I know if the videos were converted to mp4?

Hi,

Try to publish it locally to HTML5 . If Media Encoder converts it successfully then you will see the Mp4 file under "VR" folder. Try to run the file locally if it works fine then manually upload the output to connect and check if it works this way. You may need to zip the output and upload it to connect manually.
