Question

FMR slides are not editable and choppy when published as MP4 how can I fix this?

I really dislike FMR.  When I have an FMR slide I cannot edit it so I end up taking further recordings using screen shots until I achieve the desired result.  Also, when publishing FMR, the results in MP4 are somewhat choppy and of poorer quality than my other slides.

There are suggestions in here that revolve around recording HD slides but I fail to understand why Adobe has continued with FMR when the world is moving towards other standards.

I can put up with the choppiness but not being able to edit is a major problem.

Can someone suggest an editor for FMR recordings?

When I cannot avoid FMR-slides (often there is an alternative possible), I will stop the capture and record a Video Demo slide instead. Quality is much better than the legacy FMR slides (which are Flash-based, also unpredictable results in HTML5 output). Video Demo (cpvc) has also a dedicated editor with much more functionality than the limited set for FMR slides. I just hope the work flow will be improved to use cpvc slide instead of FMR.

Thank you Lilybiri.  I will try this out.  I just don't want to keep stopping to change the record format.

I have recently upgraded to the new version and was disappointed to find we are still stuck with this old technology!

I feel your pain, and agree that it is time to update the work flow especially since there is the possibility to include video demo slides to improve the quality. Problem is that focus at this moment is completely on responsive projects. Software simulations are still very important however.
