Question

Folder set v Web server

Hi,

We are playing a video from a folder set and not a web server and we can see that there are issues with Glossary widgets. Is there any way to resolve this without viewing the publishing content from the web server? And is there a way to get the same output as in the preview from a published HTML folder set?

Many thanks in advance.

Oz

The preview you see in Captivate is often coming from a faux web server environment that Captivate sets up and uses for that purpose.

If you are publishing to HTML5 or even to HTM/SWF nowadays, and trying to deliver from a LAN server rather than a web server, the result is usually ending up the same.  Either one kind of security or another is going to get involved and stop something from working.

The bottom line is that HTML5 and SWF content are both really designed to be delivered from a web server environment over HTTP, not a LAN server environment over TCP/IP.
