Question

Font style doesn't hold

I am working with the 30 day trial version of Captivate4, (although I don't think this has anything to do with the issue)

I have copied from a word 2007 doc and pasted into a caption. The caption picks up the font from the word doc, I select all and change it to the correct font, it appears to have the correct font (Ariel 12) in captivate but when I publish some pages have correct font and some don't. I have tried everything: changing all captions to Ariel, changing individual captions to Ariel, changing to Ariel Black and then back to Ariel, nothing works.

My defaults are set to Ariel 12.

Any suggestions? I wish I could get to the code and check font there.

Thanks,

AustinCookie

Hi there

Sorry, but I have no clue why the troubles are ensuing other than to suggest that when you copy text from Word and paste into any other application it's quite often a crap shoot as to what you get because Word adds all manner of formatting garbage.

Normally when I copy anything from Word that is destined for pasting elsewhere, I ensure it's just unformatted text. I do this by "side tripping". To side trip, you open Windows Notepad and paste from Word into Notepad. Then you select the text in Notepad and paste in the final destination.

Pasting into Notepad and copying back clears the Word garbage.

Something you might try is to create a Design Template, format as you wish and apply that to your project.

Cheers... Rick
