Fonts getting switched during Network Drive - Desktop Transfer

Hello all!

I am a relatively new Captivate user (past two months), and I've just recently run into an issue that is driving me crazy!  My colleagues put Captivate files on a Network Drive that I copy over to my Desktop.  When I open those files on my Desktop the font gets switched on certain objects (interactive buttons, the Table of Contents, a certain text box).  What's the reason that this is happening, and is there any way to fix this? It's a pain having to switch the font of each version manually back to what the colleague had on their template.

Please advise... I've asked a few of my colleagues who seem to think that uninstalling and re-installing is the only solution.  Hopefully it does not come to that! Thank you!

Do you have the used fonts installed on your system?  Do you use a custom theme (color palette, object styles, master slides, skin, recording defaults are components of the theme)? Are you using Captivate 2017? If the OS is Windows, do you run Captivate as Administrator?

Do you have the used fonts installed on your system? Yes I believe so, because I can switch to them once I have the Captivate file open on my Desktop.  The font that the first user used would automatically transfer to my file and show up by default up to a couple days ago.

Do you use a custom theme (color palette, object styles, master slides, skin, recording defaults are components of the theme)? No I don't think so, we work off a template that we've created ourselves. Could you please elaborate?

Are you using Captivate 2017? Version 9

If the OS is Windows, do you run Captivate as Administrator? No

Since a while templates cause issues, at least if you mean the use of cptl files as a template for a cptx-file. Each cptx file, whether it is based on a template or not IS using a theme. Since you said 'custom template' you probably have a custom theme. Ask the collaborator to send you the used theme (has extension cptm) and apply it to the file you have. Have a look at this article that explains more in detail what a theme (very important) means in Captivate:

What's in a Theme - a Template? - Captivate blog

It is strongly recommended on Windows always to Run Captivate as Administrator.

Which version of 9. The most recent (least buggy) is 9.0.2.437.
