Force student to rewatch a video after failing quiz

This seems simple enough but may prove to require advanced actions which is why I am posting here. I've chatted with Adobe Support at length twice so far and haven't been able to resolve the issue.

My project has a video which all users must watch before taking a quiz. If they fail the quiz they must rewatch the video before retaking the quiz.

Slide 1: Title slide with start button advancing to next slide

Slide 2: Event video set to auto play, next button appears after the same number of seconds the video runs for.

Slide 3: Quiz Question 1

Slide 4: Quiz Question 2

Slide 5: Quiz Results

My first solution was going through Publish Settings -> Quiz -> Pass or Fail -> If Failing Grade: Allow user 100 Attempts                  Action: Jump to Slide Slide 2

On the quiz results slide I used the "Continue" button generated by Captivate and renamed it "Retake Quiz". My hope was that on clicking the continue button (now labeled "Retake Quiz") students would be brought back to slide 2.

The problem is that sometimes it takes several clicks to get the Retake Quiz button to respond and sometimes it won't respond at all. I have the same issue in project preview as well as safari and chrome.

I'm working in Captivate 9.

Can I ask a bit about the design?

It just seems a bit archaic to me to force someone to watch a video they haven't learned from, for a second time, and expect different results.

Also, is it the same quiz?

Ha! I agree with you that the design is simplistic. I had no say in the design of the course. For this project, I am simply building based on the client's narrow specifications.

The quiz the students retake is the exact same one they previously took.

I'm interested in WHY you renamed the Continue button on the Quiz Results slide to Retake Quiz when all you had to do was select the Retake Quiz button option in your quiz settings (same section where you specify multiple attempts are allowed on the quiz).

I resolved this far more simply than I had thought possible. By adding the next button on the video slide to the quiz (Properties -> Reporting) the stock retake button now brings the user back to video slide as the first slide of the quiz.
