Forced Navigation - "next" button will not display

I've been trying to work on a click and reveal slide where the "next" button appears after the user clicks on all interactions, and am using forced navigation rather than advanced actions. I followed this tutorial https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/create-branching-forced-navigation.html as well as many other similar tutorials online. I started from scratch and made a dummy slide, very simplistic with no added objects - just an object whose state will change and three buttons to initiate that change. 

 

I added another button for the "next" button, named it "objectname_completed" and ensured it was not visible in output. I have triple-checked all naming conventions and even renamed all the slides and objects. The button still will not show up. Is there anything that I could be missing?

    Although I have never used that canned branching scenario (from the Quick Start Projects), from your description I deduct that you try to use it for something different? You want to have the Next button to appear when all buttons have been clicked on one slide? Not for a real branching scenario to other slides? That is the problem with that type of 'canned' workflows, difficult to edit and control if you want to do something different.

    That solution is with a shared action, also solves the fact that you'll have the forcing only on the first visit of the slide.

    Welcome to the forum, Danielle.

    You didn't get an answer yet, and personally I never used that canned workflow because you don't have any control over the triggered actions. Something must be awry, probably with the naming conventions or the setup. Could you insert some screenshots? Maybe that canned workflow is not working for what you want to do, since it is about navigation to multiple branches. 

    If you explain exactly what you want to do, could help you with the setup of the shared or advanced actions.
