Free Trial of Captivate Expired & New Purchased Download Not working with out a Serial Number - Quit

Hello,

Anyone an expert in dowload issues with Captivate?  My free trial version expired.  I chose to purchase monthly subscription plan.  I vcould not re-access Captivate without a serial number yet no serial number was provided.  I was directed to a download page.  I downloaded.  Now, I still can't access program without serial number however it seems like new version and free version are competing and they just quit unexpectedly within seconds.
