Question

Full motion video clip embedded in powerpoint presentation

I have 2 video questions:

1. Can Adobe Captivate record a narrated powerpoint presentation with a video (mpg, wmv, avi video with audio) embedded in it? I tried and did not get things to work. So, I looked at Adobe Presenter 7, that worked but the published files are in Flash and we want that in HTML 5.

2. I was trying to help someone record a narrated powerpoint presentation, she wanted to click and go to Youtube to show a video (with music) during her presentation. I did not get Captivate to do this successfully. It was very frustrating. We were using Captivate 6 for this. Later, I experimented with this again and while I did manage to record the full motion video from Youtube, it did not come with the Youtube video's audio music. Is there something wrong my computer (not sufficient Ram) or is Captivate generally not able to do this?

Thanks in advance

Ivy

Hi Ivy,

Can you try importing your Presentation (PPT/PPTX) file inside Captivate and for your first problem, rather than recording, i would suggest you to simply, import the video within Captivate and then publish your content to HTML5 output.

For your second problem, while recording your video on Youtube, what Audio Device option did you choose, by default, it says, No narration, I capture with below option (which may vary, based on your drivers/audio device) and I was able to get audio just fine.

Thanks,
