hi all,
I have created a flash piece in flash cs3 and inserted it in captivate 3. Then I discovered 2 issues:

- Cant preview the flash piece in preview mode - can only see it after i published
- the text in the flash piece looked compressed/fuzzy when in captivate, it was fine when previewed in flash

i have turned the compressed movie option in captivate but still no luck
any suggestion?
thanks
JT

    JT,
The problem may be with how Flash handles system fonts. Be sure to embed your fonts whenever using dynamic or input text.

Are you using Flash Player 10?

Captivate 3 has issues previewing certain things if you have Flash Player 10.

Are you saying the text is fuzzy when published? I thought you couldn't preview it in Captivate?

    Hi guys,
Yeah. i can preview with FP 9, was on 10 before. so thanks!

The text is fuzzy after i published the CP file - it was fine before i inserted it into CP

    Hi again

If you were creating a transparent caption in Captivate I could advise you of a trick to try. Usually what happens with these beasties is that Captivate applies anti-aliasing to the text and it looks fuzzy.

Sooo, I'm wondering if the same trick will work here.

In your Flash piece (assuming you are able to do this) try adding a blank line below the text and apply a bullet point to the blank line. Then configure things so the bullet point is hidden.

In Captivate if you were to do this with a transparent caption, it would clean up the fuzzy text. So maybe the same trick will apply to something created using Flash? Not sure but may be worth trying.

    Cheers... Rick
