Gesture navigation only linear?

I am using CP8 and allowing phone gestures, i.e. swiping.  It advances to then next slide, but always in a linear order....Is there any way around this?  I have tried to change the on exit for the slide to jump to a different spot in the captivate but it doesn't seem to work.  However, the one place it does work is on the last slide, a forward swipe will jump back to the slide of my choosing.  Any thoughts on how to make it work similiarly on a slide that is not the last slide of the presentation?
