Question

Getting the Text Entry boxes on different slides to 'talk to' each other

Hi I am creating a short e-learning on setting SMART objectives. In the first slide I ask someone to write an objective into a text entry bo. Then the second slide i teach them about how to make an objective 'Specific' - on this slide there is another text entry box and they would rewrite their objective from the previous slide into this box but taking on the learning and hopefully making this more specific. This process repeats for Measurable , Achievable, Relevant and Timebound. I was wondering if instead of having to rewrite their objective each time they go to the next slide, if somehow the ext entry boxes could copy whatever they had written on the previous slide so it would just be a case of tweaking it if need be and not completely re-writing each time?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Nick

Out of the box, you cannot control what shows up in a Text Entry Box. There are two possible alternatives:

    • Using the Scrolling Text Interaction, where you can have a variable appear by an action. It works fine for SWF output, however I had some issues with HTML output (but didn't check with latest version of CP).
    • Using the CpExtra widget developed by InfoSemantics (only HTML output).
