GIFT format: Can you use superscript and subscript?

I am a math and chemistry teacher who just started using adobe captivate 8.

I want to be able to import GIFT format with subscript and superscripts. Is that possible?

I tried using HTML codes, e.g. to write 10 to the fourth power:

10<sub>4</sub>

But that doesn't work! Any other options!?

I've never used GIFT imported questions, but since Captivate often falls over in other areas if you include punctuation characters in text, I would suggest you remove the chevrons and other HTML code characters from your imported text.  Try doing this for just a single question (with and without those characters) as a test to see if I am correct.

With the text box selected, in the properties panel, the subscript/superscript buttons are right next to the bold/italic/underline buttons. The buttons say T2 and T2. Hope that helps.
