Question

Global Change to Failure SmartShape

Is there a way to globally change all SmartShape failure captions from a rounded rectangle to a callout?

I can change them one at a time using Replace Smart Shape, but since the shape isn't part of the object style, modifying that doesn't help. There doesn't seem to be an "Apply to all items of the same type/style" for shapes. Find and Replace doesn't work with shapes. I can't think of any other possibilities. I have a dreadful feeling I'm going to need to change them all manually, but if anyone has a suggestion or knows how to do this, I would appreciate your help.

Thanks!

The lack of this functionality makes me cry when my software simulation that is automatically captured and the objects placed has right angle corners and we need rounded ones... I am optimistically hoping that someone knows something that I don't!

It's frustrating to me, too. I had to change them all manually. The problem was that I received the raw screen caps from someone who didn't know you can change the Preferences to use Text Captions. (Preferences>Defaults>Use Text Captions for SFH Captions instead of Smart-Shapes)

It doesn't help if the Success/Failure/Hint captions have already been generated, which was my problem.
