Glossary Interaction Does Not Honor X or Y Positioning in HTML5

I am using Captivate 8.0.1.242 to create an HTML5 project. This is NOT a responsive project - it has a set stage size. Yet again (this is becoming a theme with this program) I am experiencing issues with the most basic of tasks - burning several hours trying to get something simple to work as claimed.

When I add the Glossary Interaction/Widget to the stage (this is touted to have been updated for CP8, but I do not see any "updated" ribbon on it) - no matter what I do in the settings and properties - the widget always aligns itself to the top-left of the stage upon preview, publish, and even uploading to my web server to test. Even worse - it isn't aligned in a way where you can see the first letter of the alphabet in the menu - so I can't even work around the problem - as it is aligned off stage to a degree. I have tested this in both Google Chrome and IE11 - same exact issue. I am now considering building my own html page glossary of some sort - and using the web object interaction to import it - but I'm afraid at this point - that that is likely dysfunctional as well. Maybe I need to build all new one in Edge Animate... just want to get to building the actual lesson for goodness sakes... this software is turning out to be junk. If you try to customize anything from a decent/professional menu perspective - it's just nothing but headaches and hacks.

Does anyone else have this issue?? Can it be fixed??
