An extremely powerful but perhaps overlooked feature of captivate is the power to "embed" live web content on a slide. At a minimum, this allows you to integrate web based multi-player games into your modules.

As captivate itself only produces web content that displays in a browser,  it has no inherent ability to support multi-player games where the players are on different computers. This requires some form of server to manage all of the users, far out of captivate's scope

Although it may be possible to create some interactions in captivate which would look like a multi person game to people sitting around a single computer,  captivate would not normally be able to report scores for the different players back to the lms without some tricky customization of undocumented functions.

To software developers, there is rarely a case where the answer is "it can't be done",  it is always a matter of how much time and effort you are willing to commit :-)

It's actually more a matter of whether the client has the budget to pay for it.

As you say, almost anything is possible to create as a web-based interactivity, but complex multi-player interactions are NOT easy to pull off and require customised server-side functionality that no normal LMS is capable of handling.

If you want this sort of stuff, you need access to deep pockets.
