Had mouse click audio in software simulation but now it's gone

After checking many posts, I have tried closing and reopening Captivate and redirecting the audio file but can't seem to get my mouse click audio in software simulation to reappear. I can hear it by clicking the play button in the mouse properties panel but not in either preview>play slide nor published output. Captivate 2019 11.5.5.678

You are on a Mac, I am a Win user, so my answers may not be relevant.

Play slide is NOT a preview method at all. Did you try F11, Preview HTML in Browser?  Did you uplod the published output to a webserver?

What do you mean by 'redirecting the audio file'? Are you talking about the ClickSounds in the Gallery\Mouse?

As far as play slide goes, all I meant was that I was previously able to hear the click there and now it is gone. Yes, Preview> HTML5 in browser was what I meant. And redirecting audio file was using mouse properties panel to select the ClickSounds>mouse.mp3.

Anyway, I re-previewed to HTML5 and it works again. Go figure.

Lot of misunderstanding in that case. I thought you replaced the default mouse.mp3 file (which is possible).

OK, if it is now functional, great!
