Has anyone gotten the glossary widget to work in HTML5?

We host our trainings on our own website, so we don't utilize an LMS or CMS. In our testing as we prepare to move to publishing our courses in HTML5 only, we can't get the glossary widget to work. I've seen the discussion about putting it on a separate page, but we want to avoid that if possible. The widget is up to date... We're using Cp9.

Yes, I've tried publishing only in html.  I can tell that the glossary is there (blue box) and that it's on top because it is covering a button I purposely put on the master slide. The close button that I created (advanced actions) appears and works (stops and restarts audio), but the glossary isn't viewable.

I have been playing with having the glossary on a separate page at the end of the project with a close button that takes the user back to the last slide visited. The glossary displays in the preview, but when I load the project to the server, it doesn't show up.

I read your blog about making sure that the glossary was on top... I checked that and it still didn't work. Any ideas?

Update... I've been able to get the glossary widget to work in HTML5.

First step (from another forum about another issue, but it worked!)

1. Go to your installation folder, copy AdobeCaptivate.ini (first take a back-up of this)

2. Paste it to your Desktop

3. Open the file and change the value of UseWidget7 from 0 to 1

4. Save this, copy it and replace it in your installation directory

Then, I created a series of advanced actions for ShowGlossary and a HideGlossary buttons, and the glossary now works in HTML5 output.

But... there's always a but isn't there???  Now the notes widget (from learning interactions) only works on two slides before it become inactive.... any ideas?

Does it work if you have NO text whatsoever in the widget, just inserting it into a blank project, publishing to HTML5 and then uploading to your website to test?

Also, are you talking about Responsive HTML5 or normal HTML5 projects?

Yes, we've tried a blank widget in a blank project. Normal HTML5 projects. I've tried creating a close button and grouping it with the widget etc. but just can't get the widget to appear. I'm experimenting with having it on separate page now, but this just feels clunky.

We publish in .swf and html formats and point to the .multiscreen file, so users on a PC can access the glossary. We are trying to move all of our courses over to HTML5 only in the next few months; the glossary is the only thing holding us back. Any suggestions?

Do not publish to both SWF and HTML5, I found it not working very well since CP9 (using multiscreen.html). Can you try to publish separately?
