Having issues with large Captivate File

Hi,

I have a very large Captivate file, the size of 122, 528 KB.  I managed to break the file down to 7 individual files.

So, I have a table of contents and in there, I was trying to link up to one of the individual files, but didn't work.

I heard you can break this file up into several files, which I did.  Here's the link that speaks to that.  https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/link-captivate-projects.html

How to link Adobe Captivate projects

Also, here's some background on my laptop. Curious what type of laptop I should be using to use the Adobe Tech Suite.

My laptop is an HP ProBook.

Manufacturer: FAA IT Operations

Model: AIT Win7x64 Image v1.5.1

Rating: 5.2

Processor: Intel(R) Core (TM) i5-4340M CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz

Installed memory (RAM): 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)

System Type: 64-bit Operating System

If anyone can provide some feedback on this, that would be great.

Is that a custom TOC or the built in TOC? You cannot link from the built in TOC.

My laptop has similar specs and I have no problem with Captivate files  even when they are getting to 450MB. Is the issue that things are laggy or slow? Are you saving the file locally rather than via a network? Are you trying to use the software when connected via a VPN? Both of these will cause real probs with Captivate

Is your project going to be delivered from a Learning Management System (LMS) or just from a website?
