Question

Help/ A crazy button???

Hi,

Now I have put a button positioned in (slide 2) which when a user will click it will take him to another slide say slide 4, but it goes to the next slide which is (slide 3 ) I have no idea why is it acting like this?

Hi,

I have had a look at this, and Rick is right in what he stated, you had the quiz preferences set to 'Must answer every question' therefore not allowing a learner to skip.

Here is the amended link to your file with changes made, if they get answer to Q1 correct it continues quiz to Q2, if incorrect it states it and then jumps to slide showing correct answer before returning to next question.

If they click your Skip Quiz button it jumps to the end.

Have a play with different answers and you'll see it working.

I am working with quizes, that is a link to what I am doing,l the button skip exercise is the problem I want it to go to a blank slide which I forgot to add at the end os the slides ofthis project?

Hi again

I downloaded your project and looked at it. From what I'm seeing, if you click Quiz > Quiz Preferences > Settings, there is an field named "Required". You have this field currently set for "Answer all - the user must answer every question to continue".

Note how that reads and pay particular attention to the word every.

Answer all - the user must answer every question to continue.

What is happening in this case is that you have a Question as the first slide. (At least in the supplied example) and the second slide is a normal slide containing two images and two buttons. One button is programmed to "Go to next slide" when clicked. That one should work with no issue. The other is programmed to "Jump to slide" when clicked. It is attempting to skip over slide 3 and jump to slide 4.

The problem with this is that because you have the Quiz settings configured so that every question MUST be answered, slide 3 is a question slide. And it cannot be simply skipped over.

One way to make things work is to click Quiz > Quiz Preferences > Quiz node > Settings node and choose one of the other settings for the Required field.

If you double-click the button and look at the "On Success" field. What do you see there?
