HELP: Can't JUMP no way no how

I have tried everything I know to get buttons and click boxes to work even with a brand new project, labelled/titled slides, etc. Is it possible to lose that function altogether (i.e. permanently)?

    Where/What are you jumping to?

    Could be settings in your project
    Could be the Flash Security nailing you

    Rick,
    Just a basic slide #6 to #36 "jump to" (for example), nothing fancy. Hyperlinks to webpages work fine. A friend recently suggested I publish the project to see if the buttons work. They also suggested clearing the computer's cache. I have yet to try that (busy at the moment!).

    What is flash security?

    Do you have any Question slides in the mix? If you do, you could have your quiz settings configured so the question has to be answered. If they are set this way, you could jump to slides before the question but not beyond.

    Flash Player version 8 introduced some security that prevents certain links from working if you are running the content on your local hard drive. As you are reporting the links work to web pages, I'm going to conclude this isn't the issue for you.
