Help! Issue with "Retake Quizz" and "Matching"-question

Hi,

I have created a quizz, consisting of single select, multiple choice and matching questions. If the user passes the quizz, it is possible to retake the quizz by using the Retake Quizz button.

When the user comes to the first matching question, and chooses an option, the answers that the user previously provided are shown. The user can adjust his or her answer, but the old lines corresponding to the old answer are displayed until the user submits their new answer. This problem only occurs on the first matching question, and occurs in several different projects.

What can be causing this? I am using Adobe Captivate 7.

Hi! Thank you for looking into the issue.

I checked right now as well, opening up a default project, adiing a true/false and a matching question slide, allowing retake.

The error with saved options when retaking occurs in the HTML5 output, but not in the SWF output. Did you test using SWF or HTML5?

Yes I did test HTML5 output.  Same result.  Not able to reproduce your issue.

My Captivate 7 version is: 7.0.1.237

Check your exact version.  It could be that you are missing the last update to that version.

Something is not right with your description here.

In Captivate quizzing, if the user passes the quiz, the Retake Quiz button will NOT appear.  It will only appear on the Quiz Results slide if the learner fails the quiz and still has more allowed attempts to use.

Are you sure you are not mistaking the REVIEW Quiz button for the RETAKE Quiz button?  The names are similar. And it's been good practice to place the Review Quiz button directly underneath the Retake Quiz button so that the learners did not have the option to click the Review Quiz button too early and effectively terminate all allowed attempts on the quiz.

Sorry, it seems like I rushed through my problem description. I am referring to the case where the user does not pass the quizz.

I tried to explain some aspects of Quiz in this article:

Question Question Slides in Captivate - Captivate blog

Is this only happening with the Matching question as first question? Or does it also happen with another type of question? Are all question scored?
