Question

help needed for conditional action: if>then>else

I have a slide with a conditional action that doesn't execute properly.

The situation:

The first slide presents a question with 2 answer options as 2 text captions.  The second slide, a conditional action is set up on the next screen where the feedback for the answer is display.  for when a variable is equal to a literal value (of the answer), it goes to show or hide the text caption that says Right (B) or wrong (A) on the next slide.  But somehow it says wrong (A) for both answer choices.  I'm not sure why it does that.

This is what has been done:

If variable is equal to 1 (the answer).

Then Show A, Hide B.

Else Show B, Hide A.

If you have an idea or possible solution, I would appreciate your help.

If you think another setup with different actions are better, I would like to hear it as well.

Thanks.

    Hi TW

I replicated your project and had the same problem, but one small adjustment fixed the issue.  On the first page, what order do you have your actions in?

I originally had the "Go to next slide" before the "Assign" action.  Once I switched these, the project worked as intended.
