Help with animations!!

I have created a project in Captivate 9 and have put some minor animations on text boxes, images etc. How they enter to be exact, whether they "slide in from left to right" etc. and when I preview the slide everything looks good. However when I go to preview the "project" all of the entrances stop, and don't complete, and some of the slides don't even finish going through their cycle. The slide will just stop, then I have to move on to the next slide, and the next slide will start, then again, stop half way and the content wont be on the slide. 2 questions, 1) why does it work when I just preview the slide and 2) how do I fix this issue so my project will run smoothly??
