Help with global transition setting?

All the images I import into my project have the transition setting of "Fade Out only." Is there a way to set this globally too "Fade In only" other than to select the image and set the transition status which applies it to all items of this type. I want the images to come in with fade in only (which I use the most) but I don't want to use the transition setting as I have some images set differently and don't want them changed. As it stands right now, I have to set the transition on each image I import (huge pain). I would appreciate any help with this.
