    I'll also give a plug to Rod and his excellent website at Infosemantics Pty Ltd | Widgets, Tutorials and Troubleshooting Tips for Adobe Captivate which will be of use to you maybe a bit further down the track once the fundamentals are taken care of.  Good luck and have fun.

    You could also try Kevin Siegel's Adobe Captivate 8: The Essentials and Beyond the Essentials. They are available on Amazon as e-books for the Kindle app.

    Lynda.com has some excellent videos.  Also there is a very good E-learning Uncovered book about Captivate.

    I"m in Alabama so it is a big time difference but if you want someone to walk you through the basics let me know.  You have to pay for the Lynda.com service, but I think it is worth it.Take care
