    Welcome to the forum.

I may need some more details. Can you give me the full version number you are using? You find it under Help, About Captivate.

How did you hide the playbar? Did you replace some of its functionality by custom buttons, like Next and Previous? Logically there is no reason why the loading time would change when hiding the playbar, nor why some assets are not appearing. I probably will have more questions when I know if you are on version 12 version or on a Classic Captivate version.

My adobe captivate version is 11.8.0.586.

I hide the playbar from the skin editor option in Window where I have unchecked the show playback controls option.

yes, I have added a customized button of play-pause, mute, forward slide, and backward slide.

    Captivate Classic (on Mac?)

I suspect that you have pausing points on the custom buttons, which prevent the playhead to continue at 1.5secs (which is the default time of that pausing point). It would help me if you show a screenshot of the timeline of one of the slides where some assets do not appear.

Do you have those buttons on the (main) master slide or timed for the rest of the project? Or do you have an instance of them on each slide, which could explain the longer loading times. Have a look at this blog post:

And maybe look at the Captivate interactive video:
