Question

Hide one button or bring back when another button is on rollever state

Hello,

I'm creating a lot of rollover buttons and i need to hide all but ONE when it is on the rollover state since there is an animation covering almost the whole section. How do I do this? I've tried to play around with the arrange function but the "normal" state buttons are still being displayed on rollover.

See example below. On rollover I'd like not to see the PM1 & PM2 buttons.

Thanks in advance  for your help.

There is no real rollover event in Captivate (except for rollover slidelet) and there has never been a rollout event (which you need as well). Are you aiming at SWF or HTML output?

HTML output.

Is there a way to hide "normal state" buttons?

Thanks

You can hide a button with all its states, you can change the normal state to a custom state, you can disable a button. I don't understand what you mean by hiding the 'Normal state'. InBuilt states cannot be controlled the same way as custom states. Have a look at this article, where I used a custom state for toggle buttons:

I'm not a native English speaker, what do you mean by a 'popup' exactly? Are you talking about information appearing when the user clicks on a hotspot, or a button? Rollover is not a good idea as I explained before. I have plenty of use cases on my blog about lightboxes (which are sort of more complicated popups) or images/text containers appearing after clicking. Here is one example, created to expain the use of hyperlinks to close opened information; in this example I used multistate objects, but in earlier posts you'll see also Show/hide being used:
