Hide Playbar on 1st Slide, Show After

Is it possible to hide the playbar on the 1st slide (or a series of slides at the outset of a course), then show again? I am able to do this on the 2nd slide of the course using OnEnter, but cannot seem to get OnEnter to trigger this hide on the 1st slide. Any help would be appreciated.

It is sometimes tricky to have the On Enter action of the first slide executed in time. My workaround: create a short first slide (0,2 or 0,3secs) before the real first slide. That way the action will get more time to be done.
