Hotspot Questions - Only 1 selection

Hello everyone,

I am wondering if it is possible to limit your learners to only 1 selection on a HotSpot Question?

I have been stung by this a few times when answering a hotspot question, I have clicked in the correct place, then misclicked the submit button, not realising another selection has been made, then correctly clicking submit and failing a question due to having registered 2 locations, rather than just the original selection.

It would be really helpful if I was able to limit the number of selections a user can make.

It is only one of the reasons I never use the default hotspot question, but create them using shape buttons which can be scored individually and have any shape instead of only a rectangular shape. You need to create an advanced action to achieve what you want, but that will be rather easy.

Have a look at:

In the default hotspot question you can limit to accept only clicks on the hotspots, maybe that could help you:

Thank you for your response, however would this not force the user to be able to get the question right by only allowing clicks within the Hotspot area, rather than allowing them to make a mistake.
Its a shame that it doesnt appear that there is a way to limit the number of selections on a slide to 1.

You may understand now why I always create custom hotspot questions... I find the default one too limited.
